Will putting my hair in a pony tail every day slow my hair growth?

Im tring to grow out my hair, and my hair is only to my collarbone. I don’t straighten it because I want it to get healthy so it can grow, but I do put my curly hair in a pony tail everyday. Will that slow down my hair growth? I always take the pony tail out when I go to bed….PLEASE ANSWER!! THANKS
