What vitamins other than prenatal help promote hair growth?

I’ve been taking prenatals for the past 2 months and noticed that my hair grew a half inch faster each month. I want to know if there is an inexpensive vitamin that is specifically for hair growth. I also want to know if taking prenatal vitamins when not pregnant is bad for your health. I was reading somewhere that levels of certain vitamins can cause health problems.

is it the actual pregnancy or the prenatal vitamins that cause faster hair growth??

Also, what happens to your hair when you stop taking them? Obviously I am going to take the prenatals, but I am just curious.
